Kali chuckled. "If you die child, don't say I didn't warm you. You could be the Gray Fox for all I care, hun. You're a thief, and you aren't made to fight what lives in Harrandrad. We'll need a warrior. We've got Bo, but another set of strong hands could never go astray."
Owyn perked up, but Kali shook her head at him. "Oh no, old man. I put up with you as it is. You're staying here to make sure these lugs make it through the Arena." The old Reguard slumped, and Kali turned back to Lorren. "Hiring a fighter from the Fighter's guild might be a good idea."
She began to pace, her mind listing off the things they'd need. "We'll need food supplies for four days... no, make that five days. Horses for all of us, except Bo of course."
Bo nodded, look at Lorren mournfully. "I eated my last horse."
"And put your weapons and armour in for repair before we leave. Get what you'll need and meet me at my house tomorrow morning," Kali gave the young elf directions to her home, and tapped a nail on the journal. "I'll keep this for tonight and read over it and see what else I can find out about the blade of Carnassus and Harrandrand."

Lorren looked at Kali blankly.
"Armor?" she asked. "Do I look like I would ever wear armor?" She shook her head. "But as for the Fighter's Guild, I may know someone that could be interested. Would you feel safer if we had the master of the guild to accompany us? He's the one that gave me that journal. He knows a bit when it comes to Carnassus."

Kali looked at the little journal in a new light. She had heard a lot of good things about the new Fighters Guild Master. Locke was his name, apparently the fellow was quite a looker too. Kali grinned. "Well, I'm not one to complain. If you can manage to convice Locke than we may just have a chance of surviving this little adventure. I've heard great things about the man."
Prospects getting better by the minute, Kali grinned. "Off you go then, child. Fetch Locke and foodstuffs." She turned to Bo-Gan. "We'd best get you a weapon then, Bo. What kind to you feel like?"
The Orc clapped his hands. "Shiny weapon. A big hammer."

Lorren rolled her eyes and left the trio to plan the big trip. She couldn't believe she'd actually gotten two total strangers (though one admittedly was a bit dumb) to agree to go with her into almost certain death. Some people really did have too much time on their hands.
Back to Chorrol I suppose. If Locke agrees to come with us, I really am the luckiest theif alive...
~*~*~*~
It took only half a day's journey to get back to Chorrol. Lorren bought as much food as she could carry before heading over to the Fighter's Guild. If Locke agreed to go with, he could carry extra food.
She entered the guild hall, finding the Imperial giving one of his fighters a pep talk. She waited patiently for him to finish. He finally did, sending the fighter out the back door with a pat on the back. He looked up at her questioningly.
"Hey Locke. Miss me? Listen, I have a proposition for you..."

Locke was tilted back on his chair with his feet rested on the table, "Associates! They always get a little emotionally distressed the first time they kill someone,"
Locke gestured toward the man who had just left, "But fancy seeing you here again lass! I don't see a gleaming sword in your hand....Or did cha just have teh see me one more time before your perilous journey!?"
Locke chuckled and motioned for the Bosmer thief to sit, "But a proposition? Let's hear what ye have teh say.."

"My, we do have some ego on us, don't we Locke?" Lorren asked with a playful grin as she sat down next to him at the table. "Though I can't say that you were wrong. I had the Blademaster of the Arena take a look at that journal you gave me. She deciphered a beautiful little poem that told me that I needed to head to Harrandrand. Since the Blademaster's already been, she and her pet Orc agreed to come with me. However, she's a bit antsy and suggested that we bring a warrior along with us. So I figured, who better to accompany us than the master of the Fighter's Guild himself?"
She looked at Locke, allowing him to contemplate this before she continued.
"If you agree, you get fun, adventure, near death experiences, and the chance to carry food for two cute little Bosmers," she said enticingly, grinning devilishly. "Oh, and of course there could be ten thousand Septims in it for you. What do you say?"

Locke ignored the prospect of money, but instead his interest was held by the mention of Harrandrand and a person whose been there.
"The Blademaster's been there you say? And survived!?" Locke could hardly believe what he heard, but covered his surprise well.
"Most impressive." Locke muttered to himself.
" I was going to send a regiment of fighters with you, to ensure your safety when you returned with my book. Don't think that I thought you were less than capable, it's good loot out there.....But with myself with ya..."
Locke sat and pondered the situation for a moment before looking up at the Bosmer and shooting her a charming smile,
"Money is no object lass, I will accompany you...Free of charge."

Lorren's eyebrows skyrocketed to the top of her head at that. She looked at him like he was crazy.
"Not that I'm ever going to complain about extra money, but are you sure?" she asked him. He only smiled. "Okay. Well then, we should get going. Kali is expecting us at her house in the Imperial City first thing in the morning and she's not one to be very happy if we're late. Personally, I don't feel like hearing her complain all morning. She's expecting this trip to take five days at the least. I'd like those days to be as pleasant as Elvishly possible."
She stopped, seeing Locke's amused expression. "Well what are you sitting around for? Get up! Come on, come on! We've got a sword to retreive."

Locke chuckled at the womans pesturing and stood up to stretch. He walked away scratching his tatooed arm, leaving Lorren with a look of surprise on her face.
He returned with his shield and spear strapped to his back and his sword strapped to his side. Slamming his feet into the floor to make sure his boots were in good shape for a long trek he smiled at Lorren,
"Lead the Way"
